Understanding Spiritual Relationships

Have you ever met someone for the first time and felt like you’ve known that person your entire life? You’ve probably met people whom you are especially captivated by or a special person whom you’ve chosen to spend the rest of your life with. These are the people whom you have a deep spiritual connection with.

When you were born into this world, a number of closely related souls come to Earth at the same time and share your spiritual training. Among these people, there are many who belong to your spiritual group, and you and your soul mates have come together in countless periods and regions in your past lives. You have met each other repeatedly in different situations and in different types of relationships. And now you have come face-to-face with the same individuals in your present life.

During your life, you meet people who have a deep influence on your life. Some of them will treat you with the warmest kindness, but others may provide you with harsh trials. These are the people you simply have to experience because meeting with these particular individuals is part of the path assigned to you in this life.

Love–hate problems that arise in relationships are most likely difficulties that have been carried over from a past life. Suffering is not simply a matter of bad luck. Many things that happen to you occur because they are necessary and inevitable. Each problem from the workbook of life is something you must solve, and it is part of God’s plan for you. Within the sea of life, you will probably encounter many different types of people and experience many dramas, but no matter how painful some relationships may become, remember that you have a deep connection with the people you meet, and try to understand the meaning and lesson each experience is trying to teach you.

Consider this: Meeting with particular people is part of your workbook of life.

Try this: Think of a person that has made a strong impression on your life and contemplate why you met this person.
