The Syrian Crisis

What Is God's Verdict on U.S. Military Intervention?

Is there justice in a U.S. military intervention into the ongoing Syrian crisis? What is God's perspective on the tragedy that is occurring in Syria? When President Barack Obama requested Congressional approval for military strikes on Syria, the people of the United States were obliged to consider these and other difficult questions, even amid their weariness and guilt over the Iraq War. The international community must also consider how President Obama's indecisiveness might affect tensions between Japan, China, North Korea, and South Korea and between Israel and Iran. Reports of a chemical weapons attack on the outskirts of Damascus in Syria on August 21 triggered a global military and diplomatic debate over whether the United States, the United Nations, and other major powers should launch military strikes.

On August 30, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said that U.S. intelligence had concluded that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad had used chemical weapons against his own people, killing 1,429 Syrians, including at least 429 children. The United Nations did not take immediate action on the unfolding tragedy and was criticized for its paralysis. Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin, an ally of the Assad regime, stoutly stated that he would assist Assad if the United States launched a military strike against Syria. Putin insisted that Syrian rebels, not the Assad regime, were responsible for the chemical attack.

In The Syrian Crisis: What Is God's Verdict on U.S. Military Intervention? Master Ryuho Okawa conducts a spiritual interview with the guardian spirit of Bashar al-Assad. As this interview reveals, the Syrian dictator's true character is quite different from what we saw in the CBS interview. As the world braces for a possible world war, Master Ryuho Okawa provides us with a clear sense of where God's justice lies in this international crisis.
