A healthy life depends on the decisions we make in our daily life. Would we choose French fries over fresh vegetables? Do we choose to go to a gym or a bar after work? I can probably think of numerous reasons (and very good ones, too!) for not living a healthy lifestyle, but the main reason is often not having enough willpower. Discipline and willpower are what we need to control our subconscious, which is the force that drives our life. If you wish to change your lifestyle and live a healthier life, you need to keep reminding your subconscious of that fact.
The human body is like a factory that is constantly manufacturing its internal component. Your subconscious mind is the factory workers who receive orders from you to manufacture various cells, blood, and antibodies that make up your body. If you constantly tell your “factory workers” to build a healthy body, they will start making a strong body that can fight sickness. That’s why we need to constantly tell ourselves, “I want to be healthy.” We should not only think about becoming healthier, we should also think about what we would like to do when we are living a healthier lifestyle. Visualize our future self and list up things that we would like to do when a healthier life is achieved. A strong willpower is essential to become a healthier and happier you.
